As one of a very small number of accredited scanning partners to The National Archive based at Kew in the United Kingdom, ADEC Preview takes the digitisation of historic documents very seriously.
ADEC Preview has created a specialist Division of the Company to manage the scanning and digitisation of historic, precious and delicate material. Staffed by individuals with many years of experience in this type of work and with a range of specialist scanners designed for the purpose, ADEC Preview has undertaken some of the most sensitive and valuable projects in recent years.
Delicate material does not respond well to being squeezed between rollers in drum scanners or from pressure of a flatbad lid. So ADEC Preview operates some of the world's leading cradle based and open paper path scanning systems to ensure documents are preserved properly during the process. Add to this the strict specialist handling procedures and catalogue management software and there is no one better equipped to undertake such work.
Heritage and preservation work can be undertaken at ADEC Preview's specialist site or on client premises. If the material needs to be transported then it will be moved in ADEC Preview's vehicles using a team of staff familiar with delicate material.
